Atlantis Idol Poll

So this morning surfing, I discovered that there's a petition going around to get Kylie Minogue on Stargate Atlantis. Naturally my first reaction is, "What are you people smoking?", but after thinking about it, it's a great idea. We should totally get a pop star to guest star on SGA to boost the ratings during Sweeps Month! (Let us ignore the fact that Sweeps won't be a factor since no new episodes will be running in November.)

However, I think this petition is selling people short. What if all of us are not fans of Kylie? I think if we're going to seriously put forth this idea to the producers (Joe Mallozzi would be very open to the idea, I know), we should at least figure out the best candidate.

After all, it's what democracy is all about.

I'm thinking we could have them appear in a musical episode. Team Lorne accidentally brings back a hallucinogenic plant that loosens the expedition's inhibitions, and they all break out in song and dance. Then Airman Minogue/Spears/Jackson/Madonna/Aiken/Pink/Timberlake/Reznor/Montanna/Elvis can have the big show-stopping number.
